Jennifer Price, the principal of Keller ISD, which includes more than forty schools, sent out an email to schools on Aug. 16 informing faculty of her decision.
“I have attached the list containing all the books previously objected to. All should be removed from libraries and classrooms by the end of today. Please email a confirmation if this has been done. I apologize for the late information ," Price's message was quoted by the portal.

Vice recalled that in the state of Texas, an official investigation was launched against several schools because of books with sexual content in their libraries. Parents and teachers spent months going through the books and choosing what could stay and what couldn't. Although several works "survived the first round selection" , the parents still did not like the selection, so the school district adopted new regulations on August 8.
Teachers and librarians were asked to review the list of objectionable works and decide which works complied with the new regulations and which did not.
In America, it has become more and more common to ban LGBTQ books - or books with any sexual content - in schools and libraries. Several people have reported that they have been attacked by certain far-right groups because of books with such themes.
The conservative, Christian Moms For Liberty the "vanguard" , which is why it is strange that the Bible could also be on the list, and in the state of Texas, Vice noted.
