Judit Varga said on the occasion of the consecration of the 800-year-old Our Lady of Fruit-bearing Premontre rectory church after the renovation: in the time of St. Stephen, churches were community-creating spaces, "where Hungarians could unite in spirit, become one nation". Fortresses that provided protection in times of disaster and gave the builders faith and hope when starting over.

He put it like this:

the renovation of the Our Lady of Fruits Church in Türje is the result of the " exemplary handshake " of the state and the church, the Premontre Order played a prominent role in the renovation of this historically significant Árpád-era building.

He explained: the Hungarian nation " survived several periods of crisis ", the Tatar destruction, 150 years of Turkish subjugation, the cruel dictatorships of the 20th century, but now, in the 21st century, " the Hungarian nation is alive and thriving " because St. István he placed his country on strong moral foundations.

Today, we have entered an age full of challenges, uncertainties, and crises, " almost from one moment to the next, our world that we believed to be certain was turned upside down ." We are witnessing a period when " systems of relationships and rules that have been considered solid so far are breaking down, and our peace is in serious danger, " Judit Varga declared.

Recently, a world epidemic turned the usual life upside down, then a devastating war broke out in the neighborhood, as a result of which the clouds of a "global economic crisis" are already towering . But the fight is not only taking place on the battlefield, a part of Europe has long since given up its adherence to its Christian roots and has fallen into a bubble world of ideologies, said the politician.

He continued: "arrogant supporters of progress (...) disguised as the rule of law, launch attacks against nation-states that fear their Christian freedom and constitutional identity, but are actually worried about the future of Europe". "Their slanders hurled at us" test our moral foundations rooted in our more than thousand-year-old culture and Christian faith every day.

All this is happening because " we Hungarians want to live in a world that is based on natural communities such as the family, the nation or historical churches, " the minister emphasized.

Today, the European Union is building a Europe that denies traditional European values, but Hungary believes that Europe is nourished by its Christian roots, and its building blocks are traditional communities: nations, families and historic churches. "We look to the values and principles that are part of our common constitutional heritage as inspiration, which strengthen the community of the member states and do not drive a wedge between them," emphasized Judit Varga.

He also mentioned that when the war broke out in the neighboring country, " the Hungarian people stood by the fallen, provided support and shelter to those in need ". He proved that he really is the people of Szent István, and that the support of his fellow men is important to him.

Hungarians are not on the side of war, they want peace - emphasized Judit Varga.

Bálint Nagy, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Investments and Construction, as the region's parliamentary representative, said, among other things: the complete renovation of the provost's church in Türje and its surroundings, the period-correct restoration of the church's interior frescoes, is a significant preservation of cultural and touristic value not only for Türje, but for the entire region.

" By taking care of our Christian roots " our community can gain new strength, which is especially important because " Europe is lying in ruins, it has torn its historical and cultural roots and is trying to survive without values. "Hungary, however, is moving forward based on real values, believing in its past and its future," the politician stated.

According to the announcement of the Csornai Premontrei Abbey, the Árpád-era church in Türje was completely renewed inside and out through the reconstruction that began in 2016 with government support of HUF 1 billion 670 million. The outstanding value of the monastery, founded in the first half of the 13th century, is the cycle of wall paintings from the 14th century, which elaborates the legend of St. László, most of the decorative paintings are already from the 15th century, and in the 1760s István Dorffmaister painted the sanctuary and the side chapel of the church.

The facade of the building has been completely renovated, as well as the frescoes and wall paintings, the historical furnishings, the flooring and the organ. During the archaeological excavation of the entire interior and exterior of the church, the specialists found the grave of the founder, as well as a hitherto unknown Baroque crypt.

The church consecration liturgy following the renovation was led by Archbishop György Udvardy of Veszprém.
