Truss was asked at an event in Birmingham about the chances of nuclear war, and asked what he would do if the decision to drop British nuclear bombs was made in 10 Downing Street.
The conservative politician - who will most likely become the Prime Minister of Great Britain from September - stated:
"I think this is an important duty of a Prime Minister and I am ready to do it."
Truss then added: "I'm ready to do that."
