János Volner

It is not practical for the Jobbik president to find out about an attempted rape only five months later, so he needs to think very carefully about what he says during the proceedings, as he could very easily fall into the trap of false testimony - said János Volner, a former member of parliament, about the sexual harassment case , former vice president of the party.

There are serious contradictions in the statements of party chairman Péter Jakab regarding the handling of the sexual scandal that broke out in Jobbik, János Volner, former vice-chairman of Jobbik and founder of the Huxit Party .

"First of all, it is important to clarify that if someone becomes aware of such a crime, the solution is not to start waiting for the case to come before an ethics committee, but to take immediate action within the party against the perpetrator. The president of Jobbik, as the official leader of the party, should have personally initiated the ethics procedure. And secondly, since suspicions of an unsavory crime have arisen, the president has an elementary duty to initiate criminal proceedings without delay, so that the investigative authority can carry out its work, and the delay of several months does not endanger its effectiveness", expressed János Volner's opinion.

He added that it is unlikely that Péter Jakab, as president, did not even know about the whole thing. As a former policeman, Volner says, it is not realistic that the president of the party learns about an attempted rape only five months later, so he must think very carefully about what he says during the proceedings, as he can very easily fall into the trap of false testimony, not only by the victim's partner , based on the testimony of György Szilágyi. In fact, Szilágyi said in public that two days after the party drowned in sexual terror, he informed the party president and his chief of staff, Enikő Molnár, and asked them to investigate the case, as well as informing the other members of the presidency about what had happened.

Volner explained that, in addition, the offended lady also reported that she was repeatedly called from a certain phone number by the alleged perpetrator's entourage and threatened and tried to get her to keep silent. "If István Földi and his relatives did not call the lady from this number before, then it proves to the investigating authority that there is plenty of evidence to support the crime, and on the other hand, the testimony of parliamentarian Csaba Gyüre, the witness who freed the victim, can also clearly support the crime. Csaba Gyüre is the independent actor who has seen and experienced everything," explained the politician.

"The awkward silence of the former allied left-wing parties foreshadows what I already talked about in 2018," Volner continued, "that is, that the left-wing opponents will use Jobbik until the 2022 elections, they will wait for the remaining voters of Jobbik to merge with the left, and after that they will crush Jobbik. Now we can witness this," remarked the party's once most popular politician and former faction leader. According to him, this is indicated by the fact that András Fekete-Győr, the leader of the Momentum faction, said in an interview recently that they will not wave potatoes in the Parliament and insult the Prime Minister, while Anna Donáth spoke about the fact that there is no need for so many parties in the ranks of the opposition. According to Volner, Jobbik will no longer be part of the left coalition in 2026, and given that the majority of its members and activists have left the party, Jobbik will no longer be able to stand for the next parliamentary election.

Péter Jakab cheated and deceived the left-wing parties when he talked about Jobbik's huge organizational background, but this has been a bluff, a fiction for years, Péter Jakab was able to tell this story before the 2022 election, said János Volner. However, this year's election showed that the voters did not agree with Péter Jakab's treason, a large majority of them chose Mi Hazánka and Fidesz, and nine hundred thousand Jobbik sympathizers disappeared for good for the party.
