While the local Hungarians, who have been indigenous for a thousand years, are encouraged to declare their nationality in the Romanian census, thereby strengthening their position, a less indigenous community has registered for the 2022 census. The Atheist Society is campaigning for the largest number of atheists and nihilists to register, proving that a significant proportion of Hungary's population belongs to them. Zsolt Ungváry's article from Vasárnap.hu.

Being an atheist is in itself a negation, a concept of existence built on denial. They think that someone who is not something becomes something just because of that. However, the many nos never turn into a yes. A lot of nothing will become something.

Faith provides a guide to the meaning and goals of the world, life, and human existence, and solutions are sought with the help of the transcendent.

Atheists are united by the fact that they do not believe in a creator, superior spirit, designer. According to them, the world, including humanity, was formed by chance, so they were also born by chance, that is, there is certainly no purpose for the world, nor for man, nor for themselves.

Since a coincidence cannot have a purpose, it cannot be found. This is also extremely dangerous. If there is no directing principle at a higher level than us, concepts such as morality, self-sacrifice, vision of the future become meaningless. Things don't matter. Actually, neither for communities, nor for atheists. Of course, there are intelligent atheists who still want to give some kind of answer to a question that is meaningless to them ("What is the purpose of life?, How should we live?, What should guide our steps?"), and rejecting the spirit that stands above us, there is nothing left but to they begin to manufacture theories and isms. And if the theories are implemented, we can already see those redemptive social experiments, each of which involved more blood, humiliation, and horror than the Crusades or the abuses committed in the name of Christ. It is enough to think only of the twentieth century; more people were exterminated in the name of godless ideologies than in all wars in history combined.

, it is again just , which is clear from the text of the call:

"Those who are fed up with the word 'Christian Hungary', the interweaving of churches and the state, old-fashioned Christian democracy, (...) can declare themselves atheists on the census."

Beyond simplifying religion to Christianity, they make it obvious that the primary issue is not the existence or non-existence of God, but a simple anti-government demonstration. However, since the elections were invented a long time ago (EU and municipal elections in 2024), there is no need to subordinate the referendum to this political fury.

More than a year and a half ago, I had a personal debate with Gáspar Békés , one of the leaders of the atheists, but unfortunately, contrary to my original intention , I could not discuss the atheist vs. theist question with him, because he generated a specifically anti-government debate. It would be a shame to form another opposition movement hiding behind such a far-reaching question as to whether there is a God, because deciding this far exceeds the scope of an election campaign.

Every player in the political scene who starts a new organization ( from Márki-Zay to Szanyi, from Fegyőr to Jakab ) believes that he will achieve the much-desired breakthrough. Maybe atheists believe in this too. But they have exactly the same problem as the opposition coalition. It is difficult to be enthusiastic about something, it is impossible to build a coherent program on it, just as the opposition has not been able to do this for a long time , because the denial of Fidesz and Orbán alone does not save you.

The atheist manifesto addresses us as well: "Government party politicians and journalists can regularly call atheists sick, immoral, traitors and deniers of the nation, and they also say that the main enemy of the Christian-democratic system is not Islam, but atheism."

Well, yes, that applies to me too. I would say that this sort of thing happens in times of freedom of speech.

In addition , I am not a pro-government journalist who therefore supports Christian ideology, but I am a Christian , that is, emphatically not an atheist, and I support the government in its initiatives. I'm pro-government as long as that's the case.

also nationally committed , just like the government. I am excitedly waiting for the anti-Hungarians who are outraged that the government supports Hungarians to come forward. Oh, whoops, since they already applied. They are called DK, Momentum, Gyurcsány, Vadai, Czech.

Atheists and Hungarians in Christian Hungary. Then they are surprised when they keep losing elections.
