Based on the complaint of the vice-president of the Romanian Liberal Party, Alexandru Muraru, the Romanian Anti-Discrimination Council (CNCD) summoned the "right-wing nationalist Prime Minister of Hungary" Viktor Orbán on September 1st for his "racist speech" in Tusnádfürdő at the end of July, Die Presse reported .
According to the head of the anti-discrimination council, Csaba Asztalos (RMDSZ), the summons is based on a complaint received by his office.
The complaint against the Hungarian Prime Minister was made by Alexandru Muraru, vice-president of the co-government Liberal Party (PNL), special adviser to the Romanian Prime Minister dealing with the fight against anti-Semitism and xenophobia. Muraru pointed out that the Hungarian prime minister made his controversial speech during a private visit to Romania, not at all while performing his official duties. Furthermore, his statement about "racial discrimination" "a flagrant form of discrimination based on race, nationality and ethnic origin" that violated human rights.
