In its information yesterday, the Budapest Government Office established that Bence Tordai built his HUF 150 million villa illegally and with irregular construction activities, and therefore initiated building enforcement proceedings. According to the rules, this cannot end other than the far-left party chairman having to demolish the already rather tasteless luxury villa - although Tordai will probably try to play tricks again. writes .

Back in 2016, Tordai bought a plot of land in one of the most expensive parts of Budapest, II. in the garden city of the district. An old farmhouse stood on it, on which he could not build a new building due to the strict regulations, because under normal circumstances he would not have received a permit.

Trusting that it would not be found out, he secretly demolished the farmhouse, despite the legal prohibitions, and built a modern, luxury villa in its place.

According to press reports, the palace, which grew out of nothing, cost Tordai 150 million forints, who tried to deceive and mislead the authorities several times in the recent period.

Metropol, which triggered the scandal, obtained the e-diary required for construction sites, which, according to the paper, clearly revealed: the old house was demolished illegally and a brand new foundation was dug for a new house. And that's illegal.

The co-chairman of Párbeszéd initially defended himself by saying that he renovated the original property, which he otherwise had every opportunity to do, since this is not against the law. However, as the case became more and more public, he began to talk back and forth.

The Budapest Government Office declared in mid-August that Tordai had built his villa illegally, rejected all his requests for official certificates for the house, and refused to issue the official certificate. This position was officially confirmed on Tuesday.  

The police launched an investigation for abuse of office. by a private individual regarding the construction of the opposition politician was first investigated by the Budapest Regional Investigative Prosecutor's Office under the Central Investigative General Prosecutor's Office, which later transferred the case to the BRFK.
