A Brussels document was born that expects the government to change the official price system in exchange for various subsidies, in part for EU funds, so that market prices have to be paid, which would be an "unacceptable burden" for the Hungarian population, the Prime Minister's political director Kossuth stated. radio Sunday newspaper program.

Balázs Orbán pointed out that the cancellation of the overhead reduction would have unforeseeable consequences, since the electricity and natural gas prices in Hungary are the lowest in the EU, thanks to the overhead reduction policy. The war and the failed sanctions have skyrocketed energy prices, and this union is also visible on the residential side in every country, meaning that the residents have to pay for the price increase, he stated.

He noted that several countries have tried cost reduction programs, but none of them are as effective as the Hungarian overhead reduction.

Speaking about the mandatory resettlement quota, the politician emphasized: according to the plans in Brussels, the member states that are not willing to implement the quota should actually dismantle the border closure and once again take care of the people in open immigration camps and migrant ghettos of the order of tens of thousands until their asylum applications are processed. is criticized.

This is unacceptable for Hungary and Poland, since they fought for several years to eliminate the open camps and to establish a border protection system capable of stopping illegal migration and ensuring the application evaluation system outside the border. According to the new approach, this should be abandoned, which is not acceptable for Hungary, he added.

Balázs Orbán said that unlike the European asylum system, Hungary's position is that these people should not be allowed into the territory of Europe, the Schengen area.

If they want to submit an asylum application, they can do so outside the Schengen area, and only those entitled to refugee status can enter, he noted.

When asked what legal and political tools are available to prevent Brussels' plans, he said: while decision-making is taking place, they are trying to take action against the birth of legislation in every forum. If it is accepted, it will not be implemented, and this is possible, since the Basic Law of Hungary clearly expresses an opinion on this issue. According to this, it is the government's obligation not to implement such an EU decision, he said.

He added that this could "put us under EU procedures" and there will be EU legal battles, but it is absolutely clear that according to Hungarian law, the government cannot do otherwise, they cannot contribute to the creation of migrant ghettos. Viktor Orbán also made it clear that as long as he is the prime minister in Hungary, this cannot happen, stated Balázs Orbán.
