President János Áder convened the inaugural session of the National Assembly for May 2, according to the president's decision, which was published by the presidential office on the website of the Office of the President of the Republic.

Pursuant to the Basic Law, the President of the Republic convenes the inaugural session of the National Assembly within thirty days of the election of the members of Parliament. The new Parliament will begin its work on May 2 at 11 a.m., according to Tuesday's decision.

The mandate of the parliament begins with the inaugural session and lasts until the establishment of the next Parliament.
