The Fidesz candidate won the Budavar by-election. With a high participation rate, Csilla Fazekas was elected with more than 50 percent of the votes. With this, the left-liberal side lost its majority in the municipality.

Csaba Dömötör commented on the result that the district has always proved to be a difficult area, because "the current president of Momentum won last time, so they lost a key district" . At the same time, the Fidesz politician highlighted that Karácsony's close friend, Márta V. Naszály, also lost an important thing: his majority on the municipal board. This is perhaps a good starting point so that from now on, instead of pointing at the government, constructive work will be the characteristic in the heart of the country and the capital.

The left-wing mayor, Márta V. Naszályi, and the local politicians who support him were in the minority in the local representative body by a ratio of 8 to 7.

Today it will be decided whether Fidesz will take over power in Budavar, or whether the alliance of democratic opposition parties can further develop the district - Márta V. Naszályi , the mayor of district I, previously wrote on her Facebook page on the day of the interim local government election in Budavar, in response to the vote of Borbála Korsós encouraged. Csilla Fazekas, it was not possible to achieve the left-wing majority in the local representative body.
