An invitation
Organized by the Civil Solidarity Forum, the Civil Solidarity Public Foundation and the Community of Spiritual Solidarity, at the invitation of CÖF-CÖKA president László Csizmadia, the guest:
Emilio Scalfarotto, author of the Hungarian idyll in Fiume and
István Nagy-Luttenberger, historian of the Hungarian Research Institute
CÖKA published an important book - the work of Italian historian and political scientist Emilio Scalfarotto dealing with the history of Fiume. The port city belonging to the Kingdom of Hungary was an important player in the 19th century. century Adriatic trade. I don't know if you have heard that in ancient society it was customary for a host to break a pot in two, keep one half and give the other to his guest, so that if he or his descendants visit him years later, they can recognize each other by putting the two fragments together. History often separates people, but it can also unite peoples along common goals. It seems that not only the Poles, but also the Italians keep a piece of pottery from us, because we clearly know each other. How do we know? Because there is a good chance that their right-wing community is waiting for the September election. We are also talking about this tonight with our Italian guest and the translator of the book.
