Minister of National Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky stated in Kosovo that he expects more and dedicated service, for which the government will provide the necessary support with a uniform increase in the salaries of Hungarian soldiers.

Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky visited the headquarters of the NATO operation in Kosovo (KFOR), currently led by Hungary He was joined by the President of the Republic Katalin Novák for two days to meet the Hungarian soldiers serving in the KFOR mission.

"We expect more and dedicated service from the soldiers, but the Hungarian government will add all the necessary support to this," declared Minister of National Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky after Katalin Novák's visit.

In a video message published on his Facebook page, the Minister of National Defense said that after the visit of the President of the Republic, he also talked about a two-step salary increase for soldiers. "Dedicated service in the defense of the homeland must be appreciated. After all, home is only as long as there is someone to protect it," said Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, who traveled to Kosovo with the president of the republic and the commander of the Hungarian Defense Forces to get to know the situation there personally. He then explained what he expects from the soldiers of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

It is very important, both in terms of mission service and during the time of home service performance and readiness enhancement, that we expect more and dedicated service from the soldiers, but the Hungarian government adds all the necessary support to this. said the Minister of National Defence.

He added that it was also decided to finalize the personal equipment, so that by the middle of next year "all Hungarian soldiers - and those who will join us in the future as professionals or reservists - will have a modern, high-quality, safety, comfort and combat they will receive suitable personal equipment".
