Togetherness is symbolized by the Magyarok Kenyere - 15 million grains of wheat program. This year, as part of this initiative, the Székelyföld Wheat Collection Festival was held in Csíkszentsimon on Sunday, during which donations from Székelyföld farmers were collected in a container, and bread made from the donations will be put on the tables of those in need. The event was organized by the Csíkszéki Farmers' Association as part of the Csíkszéki Farmers' Days.

The gathered were greeted by István Kozma, the mayor of Csíkszentsimon, who said that despite the fact that we are living in crisis times, the farmers were able to come together for a good cause, to help their more downtrodden fellow human beings. István Becze, the president of the Association of Székely Farmers' Associations, spoke about how the farmers were serious about the initiative, bringing the life-giving wheat from all parts of Székelyland. In previous years, they collected 100 tons of donations and were able to support more than 80 institutions. This year, they expect a similar amount of crop donations from the farmers, not only wheat, but also millet and other crops, the collection is still ongoing.

György Zsolt Papp, Deputy Secretary of State responsible for the implementation of rural development programs of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture (pictured above), first interpreted in his speech the wishes and greetings of István Jakab, President of Hungarian Farmers' Associations and Farmers' Cooperatives (MAGOSZ), Vice-President of the Parliament, who could not attend as an invitee at the event.

"One of the most important messages of the Bread of Hungarians - 15 million grains of wheat initiative, which started more than 10 years ago, is togetherness and that we can count on each other across borders from here and beyond. Farmers can count on the Hungarian government. The needy can count on the farmers. The city can count on the countryside. Because the agricultural society and the processing industry stood up even in the biggest crisis and provided enough food for the population. The old can count on the young. a generational change is imminent in agriculture as well. And Hungarians living in separated areas can count on the protection and support of the motherland, said the deputy state secretary.
