The duration of the census
You can fill in the questionnaires online independently between October 1 and 16
October 17 and November 20, enumerators will visit households that have not filled out the questionnaire online by October 16.
Between November 21 and 28, those who have not done so by November 20 can fulfill their obligation to provide data at the settlement clerk.
The ideal date of the census is October 1, 2022 at 0:00 a.m., i.e., we must answer the questions of the questionnaire based on the situation existing at that time.

What does it look like and what do you need to know about the postal invitation letter?
The KSH sends a letter of invitation by post to all residential addresses in Hungary in the last days of September.
The census assesses the actual living situation, not the declared one. Who lives at the given address will be revealed from the completed questionnaires, it is not known in advance, therefore the invitation letter does not address names , only the address of the apartment (up to house number) is included in the address.

In addition to useful information about the census, the invitation letter also contains a 12-digit access code , with the help of which every household can fill out the questionnaire independently on the Internet.

Residents of social, higher education, or other residential institutions receive a letter of invitation from the head of the institution, while those living without shelter are assisted by social workers when participating in the census.
Completing the census questionnaire in an average household takes about 30 minutes.
The census is effective if it gives an accurate picture of the population of our country. This is also why it is important that we all take part in the census, which, by the way, is the 2018 CI on the census. it is also our duty according to the law. All those who fill out the census questionnaire online by October 16 can participate in a prize draw.
