"Remember straight people?" - is said in the trailer for the movie Bros. "Yes, they ran well," came the reply. NBC News reports that the first romantic comedy produced by a major studio to break with the heteronormative form will be released in theaters in September

The stars of Bros say it's time for straight people to enjoy romantic comedies about homosexuals. With their new comedy, Bros, Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane want to break with the heteronormative form.

Universal Picture also embraced Billy Eichner's film, in which all the main characters are played by openly LGBTQ actors, Humeonline previously wrote.

“I couldn't be more proud and excited about the historic nature of Bros' fully openly LGBTQ cast. After decades of queer actors watching from the sidelines as straight actors made artistic and professional capital out of portraying LGBTQ characters, a long-overdue dream came true by assembling this remarkable cast."

Eichner said.

The film is the brainchild of Billy Eichner, the writer of the films Billy and the Street Man and Difficult People, who not only co-wrote but also stars in the homosexual comedy.

In his characteristic manner, Eichner plays the self-deprecating, cynical protagonist named Bobby, who, according to the story, has pretty much given up on finding a tolerable partner. However, that's when she meets the seemingly perfect Aaron, played by Luke Macfarlane.
