Europe is going through the most serious energy crisis of the last decades, the crisis can only be partially explained by the outbreak of war, the reason for this is the blind-tracking policy of Brussels, said Csaba Dömötör.

The parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office said that at the time of the election, it was still discussed in the Brussels meeting rooms that the sanctions did not cover energy.

“Then in June it was overridden, with all the consequences. This is reason enough to ask the opinion of the Hungarians about this, " he explained in an interview with Magyar Nemzet , why the new national consultation is necessary. As he put it: if many hundreds of thousands of people express their will in one direction, it has power.

The politician criticized the sanctions policy of the European Union, including the planned sanctions concerning nuclear energy and the gas sanction.

" It doesn't matter whether they are adopted in the form of a price cap or a complete import restriction, they will lead to price increases and supply disruptions," he said, adding that the price of gas increased two to three times after the sanctions were first floated, and is now twice the level of it was a few weeks after the war. "This also shows that the economic turbulence is not caused by the fact of the war, but by bad bureaucratic responses, " he pointed out.

The Secretary of State also spoke about the EU resources due to Hungary, as he emphasized, the negotiations with the European Commission have been taking place in a constructive atmosphere for quite some time. " At the same time, it is also clear that the European Parliament does not want an agreement, ideological aspects are more important to it, " he opined, calling EU criticism an exercise in pressure.

The state secretary criticized Péter Márki-Zay's campaign financing, according to which it is necessary to investigate to the smallest detail whether the fact of foreign financing existed. " The most important thing in this is that according to the law it is forbidden to support parties from abroad. It is not known whether Péter Márki-Zay is aware of this, " he said.

He evaluated the autumn session of the parliament as perhaps the most instructive is how the left fights a determined battle with reality.

" They say the sanctions are working. We don't know if it's a simple domestic political calculation or the expectations of their foreign sponsors, but it doesn't matter from the point of view of the end result. We would be much more satisfied if they would at least help the government's fight in the matter of sanctions, " said Csaba Dömötör.

The politician also touched on teacher salaries, according to him, the government's commitment to wage increases is proven by the fact that the first major comprehensive wage increase program was launched for teachers and lasted from 2012 to 2017. " A few years have passed since then, but in the meantime there have been wage increases. During the epidemic as well as in January this year ," he added, emphasizing that the prime minister proposed a further increase.

" In addition, the government would also include EU funds as tools to help raise wages. Therefore, we have another compelling reason to fight for EU funds to arrive as soon as possible, " said Csaba Dömötör.
