Hungary has come out of every crisis since 2010, the global economic crisis of 2008-2009, the migration crisis and the Covid crisis, stronger than when it went in, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared on Monday in Berlin, at the forum on Hungarian-German economic relations.

In his presentation, the Prime Minister justified this with political reasons. As he recalled, during the global economic crisis, there was a debate in Europe about whether the crisis was a conjunctural or a structural crisis. Most European countries saw it as an economic crisis, Viktor Orbán added, and then said: " I never accepted this interpretation ".

The Prime Minister explained: on the other hand, he considered the global economic crisis to be a structural crisis, behind which is the fact that Europe will continuously lose markets to Asia, and so on.

Viktor Orbán called the deep structural reform the correct answer to this, and then added: after 2010, the Hungarian economy was transformed accordingly.

If the border is not protected, the single EU internal market may collapse

If Hungary does not protect its borders, the single European Union internal market could collapse , Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared on Monday in Berlin, at the forum on Hungarian-German economic relations.

He emphasized that since Hungary is an open country, border protection should also be part of the economic policy. He stated:

political security, energy security and physical security are also needed in the next period.

Political security is guaranteed by the stability of the government, physical security can be ensured, among other things, by the fact that Hungary will continue to be an island of peace, and an important part of energy security is that the country has enough gas reserves for six months.
" Whoever cooperates with us is doing well, " said Viktor Orbán.

As is well known, a summit of Hungarian-German heads of government was held in Berlin. The focus of the meeting between Viktor Orbán and Olaf Scholz was the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the latest related developments. The two prime ministers also discussed European, bilateral, economic and international issues.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó is also in Berlin, where he stated: "The cooperation between Hungary and Germany is extremely important from the point of view of the future energy security of our country, several German companies will play a significant role in the expansion of the Paks nuclear power plant " .
