Only the blind could not see that the once famous European song festival has long been nothing more than a scene of aberration and political manipulation. This could have been suspected for decades, but it became obvious and undeniable with the 2014 "victory" of the Austrian transvestite singer Conchita Wurst.

The competition, which can hardly be called mediocre, and the victory of the skirted and bearded "auntie" with modest performance skills and voice, could be taken for granted, who would dare to vote off such an "advanced" performer, even if her production is lousy. With some exaggeration, he would have received the award for first place even if he had performed instead of a song with the meow of a cat whose tail had just been stepped on.

Of course, musical taste is subjective, but many years of experience give birth to ugly thoughts in a person. Listening to the songs of the 2021 final, we can find ten that would certainly have been more worthy of recognition than the later winning Italian production, we just have to admit that none of the male performers looked as feminine as the lead singer of the Italian band. Not to mention the field of "they still ran", where there were too many feminine women and masculine men, in a rather non-judgmental way.

Hungary - as is known - has not participated in this event since 2019. Many people have explained why this in many different ways, but the bottom line is that we would not even have a chance to get a place, because Hungarian performers - even if they presented the greatest production in the world - are among those who should not be supported politically. Unfortunately, this does not depend on the artistic value, but on the country's perception.

Presumably, other European countries were reluctant to apply for Eurovision clowning either, but they lacked the courage to declare it. There is nothing special about this, since we are the only ones who take an open stand against mental illnesses in the EU, and those who otherwise agree with us only dare to "push" us from the background. But now the world is changing, there are interesting facts about this year's entries. Several countries have found an excuse to avoid participation without being dirty or attacked. The excellent reason: financial crisis.

Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia, Andorra, Luxembourg and Monaco have already officially announced that they will not participate in next year's competition, the Czech Republic, Armenia and Moldova have not yet confirmed their participation or refusal.

After this, another of our ugly thoughts is formulated: we don't know if Ukraine will participate in the festival, but if so, who will be the winner in 2023?
