The European Sex Workers' Legal Association has set itself the goal of decriminalizing prostitution, and it has found allies for this: in addition to LGBTQ organizations, the Renew faction of the European Parliament and other liberal politicians, Híradó.hu wrote.

Europe is facing a crisis, in the midst of war, inflation, and housing shortages, more and more people are turning to selling sex in order to have a roof over their heads and feed their families, said the argument against the criminalization of sex work.

Representatives of the sex workers' organization spoke in the European Parliament, with the support of the liberal Let's Renew Europe faction. The Hungarian members of this faction are the momentous Katalin Cseh and Anna Donáth. The speakers at the meeting explained that the criminalization of clients aggravates the vulnerability of sex workers.

As a good example, he presented the Belgian law adopted in March, which means the decriminalization of sex work.

However, the current position of the Union states that prostitution violates human dignity and human rights. It is in this spirit that the latest EU resolution was born, in February 2014, which states that all kinds of prostitution are a form of violence against women.

If the situation of sex workers is currently the most important issue for the left-liberal company, in order to receive several million forints per month, then this putty company should be thrown to the wind by the European Parliament. I could do this on the grounds that, unfortunately, due to the energy crisis, we have to save and thus billions of euros could be saved on infrastructure, travel, and very fat monthly allowances. And the savings can be spent on much more useful things. Well, we could really call this step democracy and the rule of law.
