The folk dance ensembles operating next to the Borostyán Folk Dance Workshop organize several cultural events, festivals, dance houses, and concerts every year. At events based on folk culture, dance performances are also held in various regions of Slovakia, Hungary and Transylvania. Every year in Rozsnyó, a traditional folklore ball, a folklore event that lasts all year round, is organized in the surrounding villages together with the Sajó Band, children's dance houses, dance camps and dance schools.

The main goal of the association is to educate and develop the youth supply and adult folk ensembles in the given region. Groups representing different age groups of the folk dance workshop participated in the organization and creation of the rich program series again this year.

This summer, the association also organized two children's camps. The camps took place in Várhöszúré. Their form was open to the public, but they primarily addressed children's and youth folklore ensembles. The organization is a member of the Slovak Dance Forum, so they were able to provide folk music, singing and dancing experts for the implementation of the projects. As an additional activity, the participants were able to make traditional handicraft items with the involvement of craftsmen and watch children's puppet games.

The III. taking place at the end of July Borostyán Utánpótlás Tábor affected the youngest age groups. The children took turns participating in activities from different areas of folk culture. They played traditional games, learned songs and stories, and could try handicrafts in the creative workshops. They also took part in interactive folk music education, where they got to know traditional instruments. On the last day of the camp, a gala program was held where the campers showed their parents what they had learned during the week.

This year, the folk dance workshop organized the Amber Cultural Day at the historic town hall in Rozsnyó for the sixth time. At the children's festival, culture lovers could participate in the interactive concert of the Paramisi Society, Sajó Banda Folk Orchestra, and Eszterhéj. As an accompanying program of the day, visitors to the festival made autumn decorations during the handicraft sessions provided by the Gömör Craftsmen's Association. The atmosphere of the meaningful and diverse event was permeated by the magic of art, folk music, dance and fairy tales.

On October 8, the county round of the Slovak choreography competition called "Jazykom tanca" (In the language of dance) took place in Kassa. The joint production of the Borostyán Folk Dance Ensemble and the Borostyán Youth Folk Dance Ensemble received a silver band certification. The Borostyán Senior Folk Dance Ensemble finished in the gold band classification and directly advanced to the finals in Zólyom in November.

The programs were implemented with the support of the Gábor Bethlen Fund, the Minority Cultural Fund, Kassa County and the City of Rozsnyó.
