Endre Hann not only initiated three million forints, an apology and the banning of the work ElkXrtuk, but also that Megafilm Kft. could not make a film about him in the future - film producer Gábor Kálomista reported to Magyar Nemzet about the current state of the lawsuit initiated by the head of the Median pollster .
The film Blokád, which was released in cinemas in the meantime, did not escape left-wing attacks either, as according to information from Mandiner, the mayor of Óbuda DK banned the screening of the work in the local, municipally owned cinema. However, the leader of the alleged organizing civil circle denies all this.
- The next hearing will take place on November 17, both parties have prepared the submissions requested by the court, but there will be no more witness hearings, so we are anxiously waiting to see what will happen - said Gábor Kálomista... The producer of the film, which deals with events and the circumstances surrounding the leak of Gyurcsány's Ószöd speech, and contains admittedly fictitious elements, recalled that Hann first offered Endre an out-of-court settlement and demanded HUF three million and an apology, but in the lawsuit he already called for the film to be banned.
– They added to the lawsuit that if I make a film in the future, Endre Hann cannot appear in it. Although we did not plan this, it still sounds as if I am asking the court to prohibit me from future actions that I have not committed - said Gábor Kálomista. He emphasized that they do not know what Endre Hann really wants, because despite repeated requests from the judge, he did not clarify the content of the claim letter. He reminded: he still does not understand the objections of the head of the polling company, because Hann previously stated that he did not recognize himself in the character of Endre in the film.
The producer emphasized: no claims were made in the film, as it is a work of fiction. - But it is a fact that previously and during the last election there were polls that the client didn't like, just think of Péter Márki-Zay's outburst when he didn't get the numbers he wanted for himself and his movement - emphasized Gábor Kálomista . - The fact that cinemas do not show a film on ideological grounds in Hungary today is unacceptable, just like in any other country in the world, as this is a serious violation of freedoms - the producer pointed out that the rights protection organizations do not raise their voices in such cases. An independent film can only be shown in a cinema if it contains obscene or content that is prohibited by the Hungarian media law, otherwise it would be a mistake to consider it on a political basis.
