Europe will either remain a Europe of free nations based on Christian culture, or it will become a continent flooded by migrants, a United States of Europe - this is what Csaba Latorcai, the executive secretary of the KDNP, said on Friday at the cemetery on Fiumei Street in Budapest, where the party's deceased politicians were remembered.
The politician and Gábor Bagdy, president of the KDNP in Budapest, also remembered Zoltán K. Kovács and Tamás Isepy at the side-by-side gravestones of István Barankovics and László Varga.
Csaba Latorcai emphasized that during the Nazi and Communist dictatorships, these predecessors uncompromisingly accepted their religious and political beliefs, even if they knew: in the worst case, death, in the best case, emigration or displacement, persecution, constant surveillance and intimidation would be their fate. .
They set an example for all of us of firm faith, willingness to act and courage - emphasized the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office.
He added that their late successors, politicians who follow Christian Democratic values, still need this courage today: Christianity is no longer a fundamental value in Europe.
The Christian Democrat politician put it this way: in its current state, the continent not only resembles a cathedral, but it also slowly resembles a medium-sized residential building, since the liberal forces in the mainstream of Eastern, Central and Western Europe, who call themselves progressive, are trying to deprive our continent of its soul, i.e. of its Christianity. .
We are witnessing a kind of "modern persecution of Christians", and if we are not careful, we can become its victims, underlined the party director of the KDNP.
He cited the Münster case as an example, when - in Germany, as he said, not the first and not the last time - the centuries-old cross was removed from the town hall building during a meeting of the world's seven most developed countries.
Meanwhile, 35 mosques in Cologne invite the Muslim community to prayer every Friday based on an agreement with the city administration, he added.
Csaba Latorcai stated: everything that is happening to our continent now is part of a consciously prepared strategy. Recognizing this is important to be able to defend against it, he said.

"The European Christian culture is one of the highest achievements of humanity, a wonderful mosaic whose different but compatible eyes are the national cultures. By enriching this culture with Hungarian values, we will integrate Hungarianness into the cathedral of eternal human values", Csaba Latorcai quoted the words of István Barankovics, considered the spiritual father of Hungarian Christian democracy, who expressed confidence that Christian democracy will once again be able to build Europe into a cathedral, one of which its "matching eye" is the Hungarian national culture.
