The government urges calm, one should not draw far-reaching conclusions from the first news - this is what the Minister of National Defense spoke about on the M1 public service channel after the missile attack on Poland and the shutdown of the Barátság oil pipeline. As Magyar Nemzet also wrote, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán convened the Defense Council due to the events, and the minister arrived at the studio of the public media from its meeting.

- The country's crude oil supply is secured not only for now, but also for the coming months - emphasized Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky. He added: "We have to wait for confirmed information, we do not yet know what happened regarding the missile attack, we are waiting for information from the Poles."

The minister spoke with the Secretary General of NATO and the ministers of several neighboring countries, and everyone is advocating for calm. We are in contact with everyone, including our European and NATO allies, and the Hungarian Defense Forces is ready to defend the country.
