Among the German provinces, Bavaria is our number one trading partner, and the second most investments in our country come from here. To this end, during Péter Szijjártó's visit to Munich, he held extensive negotiations with Melanie Huml, Minister responsible for European and International Affairs (pictured), Bavarian Chancellor Florian Herrmann, as well as the heads of several large companies, BMW AG, Knorr-Bremse and Schaeffler AG in Munich.

On his Facebook page, Péter Szijjártó reminded that dramatic changes are taking place both in global politics and the global economy... In such situations, stable, predictable and reliable partners are especially valued, he added.

As he explained, Melanie Huml, the minister responsible for European and international affairs, personally guaranteed today: the most competitive tax and investment environment, stable political leadership and energy security await Bavarian companies in Hungary.

Agreeing with Bavarian Chancellor Florian Herrmann, he said that friendship between Bavarians and Hungarians is important to both of us, and good cooperation is important.

Péter Szijjártó also visited BMW. In his post, he recalled that Oliver Zipse was the board member responsible for BMW production when they discussed the investment in Debrecen for years. We also had tough competitors, we negotiated for a long time, nothing was leaked, and in the end we won.
