According to Jobbik, "non-random announcements" are needed, experts suspect a political maneuver behind Ferenc Gyurcsány's "cellular" post.
"We're getting ready again," Ferenc Gyurcsány wrote in his suggestive Facebook post the other day, and then increased the tension by announcing that there will be something to watch on December 2 from 6 p.m. In the summer, the president of DK already had a similar campaign, when he drove people interested in domestic political Iran into a frenzy by announcing: "we are getting ready". For weeks, no one guessed why, even though journalists asked politicians of various ranks of the party in vain, they either did not answer at all or glossed over the answer.
It is worth noting that it spread to the public that they wanted to overthrow the reigning government in DK, which the Fidesz politicians took note of with an ironic wave, but even their allies - especially the momentous Anna Donáth - considered the suggestion frivolous. It is therefore not surprising that in the end this was not announced by the DK, they merely announced that they were already prepared for everything, and then in mid-September the shadow government led by Klára Dobrev introduced itself.
Regarding the recent "floating" of Ferenc Gyurcsány, Mandiner interviewed several opposition parties, Péter Márki-Zay, and two analysts. Among the parties, only Jobbik responded, they wrote that for them,
responsible opposition parties should not deal with random announcements, but with how to help our compatriots in this multi-faceted crisis economic situation. For example, by reducing the VAT on basic food and fuel to zero percent.
However, political analysts suspect a political maneuver behind Ferenc Gyurcsány's post. Tibor Attila Nagy, for example, pointed out several possibilities. As he put it, if the shadow government is already functioning, then in his opinion it is worthwhile to proceed along this line.
Since 2014, it is not mandatory to discuss and approve the government program in the parliament, only to vote for the prime minister, but lo and behold, the DK almost makes up for this lack - claims the political analyst, although he also considers it possible that several NGOs and trade unions will line up spectacularly with a shadow government.
It gives a smaller chance of announcing the party's mayoral candidate, although this would have so many advantages - Tibor Attila Nagy believes - that it could be built up until the 2024 local government elections. However, the DK is struggling with a lack of cadres in the capital: currently the party does not have a well-known and respected politician in Budapest who has significant local government experience, Gy. Erzsébet Németh understands local government politics, but the voters like her less, he adds.
The political analyst also considers it impossible that Ferenc Gyurcsány resigns from the post of party chairman and recommends Klára Dobrev in his place.

At the same time, in the past month, the shadow government's communication has gotten a little tired, while at the beginning there was still an excitement factor and novelty in it, now there is much less hype around it, says Deák.
According to him, that is why a date has been set again, until which you can speculate, and then you can talk about the duration of the announcement for weeks after that. It is likely that there will be an announcement that can thematize the public discourse for a longer period of time, so I would suggest a personal announcement, for example, in connection with the local government election - said the analyst, who also thinks it is possible that they will make an announcement in connection with the overhead fund.
