European representatives of the Hungarian left voted again against their country. We do not wish such opposition to our enemies! But neither for the left! For years, they have been working to withdraw EU funds from the Hungarian people. They believe that the worse it is for the country, the worse it is for the government, so it might be better for them. This is an old method that has never worked until now, but it is also true that they have not gone that far yet. If they failed to overthrow the Orbán government with the millions of dollars from organizations working within arm's reach of the CIA, they will try to do so from Brussels. Instead of democratic elections in the salt office.

Those who voted against our country

According to the majority of the European Parliament, the fulfillment of the 17 commitments on the part of our country is not enough, so the Commission must be forced to freeze the resources due to us. We also need 18th, 19th and 20th commitments, and so on - but isn't it all the same? The result of the vote is nothing more than the political opinion of the majority of the EP. They are in the majority, that's all.

Although the EP was not given a hand in the conditionality procedure, the final decision will be made by the Council based on the Commission's proposal, but the political position is still real, but it must be considered as an exercise of pressure. The EU Parliament has become an important arena for political battles and ideological warfare in recent years, so there is nothing unusual about what happened! Paper form.

Even more exciting is the fact that the Hungarian left also supported the freezing of EU funds for Hungary. The minutes show that István Ujhelyi of the former MSZP and Anna Donáth of the moment did not vote (judge it according to your own taste!), but all the other agent representatives voted to insist on the freeze. Let's see the list!

  • Attila Ara-Kovács (DK)
  • Katalin Czech (Momentum)
  • Klára Dobrev (DK)
  • Márton Gyöngyösi (Jobbik)
  • Csaba Molnár (DK)
  • Sándor Rónai (DK)

Although the representatives in the European Parliament are organized into factions according to their ideological affiliation, they still receive their mandate from the Hungarian electorate. By the fact that the left is fighting in the EP to prevent Hungary from getting access to financial resources, they are ultimately harming the voters to whom they owe their mandate.

In fact!

The Hungarian left voted to take money from teachers' salary increases, from Hungarian municipalities, from Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises, from hospitals, from environmental protection and energy investments.

And Dobrev commented on the result of the vote as follows:

Victory for the Hungarians!

Victory…for who exactly? Perhaps Klára Dobrev should also be warned that her mandate also comes from the will of the Hungarian electorate. This is still an important obligation, it represents a certain moral expectation.

They went a level (down) on the left

At the plenary session held on Thursday, the vote in Strasbourg was not about whether they agree with the Orbán government's policy, but not even about whether the rule of law is being violated, whether democracy and press freedom are in danger in Hungary. The subject of the vote was whether to take away part of the EU money, which is otherwise due by law, from the Hungarians. (Even if the parliament "only" makes a proposal with its politically motivated decision.)

In any case, the left stepped up when it "not only" expressed a devastating opinion about the state of the Hungarian rule of law, but also supported the freezing of funds.

But Katalin Čeh stepped up as well, who proudly agreed that she not only voted for this political resolution, but also took part in drafting it. We are talking about the representative whose family is linked to a network of companies that - under suspicious circumstances - was one of the big winners of EU funds. In the previous cycle. Even before Katalin Cseh became a politician and even before she voted against the freezing of funds...

Would the representative vote this way even if the family's companies were still active?

He didn't go home, so they are trying in Brussels

The fourth two-thirds victory was a historic failure for the other side. It turned out that what works separately does not work together. They could not win with this political speech (or lack thereof), this deconstructive attitude and this hatred. O1G was not enough! The left-wing political elite group has taken a role. Even the millions of dollars of organizations operating at arm's length from the CIA did not lead to victory.

However, there is no renewal, everyone fears for their existence and protects their own position. This is how the old method came about. They think that if he did not go home, then the Orbán government must be overthrown in Brussels. If democratic elections did not succeed, then political blackmail must be tried. The country has to be starved, because if things get worse for the Hungarians, the government might as well, and it might be possible to profit from this.

So far it hasn't worked out - but that doesn't mean it's useless to try.

On the left, the situation is unchanged

Already in 2014, the European Parliament (supported by the left-wing factions in its resolution on the situation in Hungary) expressed its "serious concern" with "the exercise of democracy, the rule of law, the exercise of human and social rights, checks and balances, equality and in connection with non-discrimination". At the same time, he instructed "the Conference of Presidents" to "consider" in the light of this report , " whether it is necessary to implement - including measures under Article 74 of the Rules of Procedure and Article 7 (1) of the EUSZ

Sounds familiar!

The end result of the aforementioned procedure would have been for Hungary (not the Hungarian government!) that the EU funds would be frozen or the right to vote would be revoked.

It didn't work out then. But then there was no conditionality procedure either. It is now. So we really have something to worry about!

The resolution was clearly and openly created in the interests of Hungarian citizens.

- wrote Csaba Tabajdi, MSZP EP representative on his blog at the time. It's like we only hear Klára Dobrev today!

There really is nothing new under the sun. The situation on the left is unchanged.

We really don't wish this kind of opposition on anyone!
