As reported by Mandiner, Viktor Orbán said in relation to Tuesday's Ecofin meeting that "Hungary is ready to provide financial assistance to Ukraine on a bilateral basis. We didn't veto, we didn't blackmail. But we want to convince the EU member states that common EU debt is not the solution".
Guy Verhofstadt sees it all differently . The liberal Belgian politician has consistently advocated the abolition of the EU veto, and now he found himself saying on Twitter that with each "threat" the EU funds withheld from Hungary will be doubled.
One veto: 5.8 billion euros. Two vetoes: 11.6 billion euros. Three vetoes: 23.2 billion euros," he wrote!

You could even square it! You could even shoot with the Gyurcsányés! So for now, we got away cheaply!
