The Hungarian countryside and the people living here are the guardians of the value of Hungarianness and the Hungarian spirit, the Minister of Justice declared on Saturday in Nyíri, at the handover ceremony of the renewed cultural center of the Zemplén settlement.
Judit Varga emphasized: when in today's global chaos people want peace, they run away home.
Everyone needs a place where they can find peace and shelter, many find this in the Hungarian countryside, he added. It is therefore important for the government to protect and protect the settlements of the Hungarian countryside from the harmful effects of the world, while at the same time striving to bring the small villages up to the infrastructural and technical requirements of the present day - underlined the head of the ministry, adding that the goal is therefore twofold: the modernization of the countryside and its values preservation. Judit Varga pointed out: Hungary is special not only in the number of Nobel laureates and Olympic gold medalists, but also in the fact that more than half of its 3,200 settlements have less than a thousand inhabitants.
This peculiarity requires a specific governmental thinking, which is close to the heart of the current cabinet, whose policy rests on the pillars of the national, Christian, conservative value system and considers the triad of "God, country, family" as its main guiding star. The Hungarian government believes that God is above everyone, that he loves our country more than anything, and that the family is home itself, he said.
The minister emphasized: the key to Hungary's future lies in the calm strength of the countryside, so let's be proud of our settlements, preserve this sanity and not let the chaos of the world cloud our vision. He also drew attention to the fact that living in the countryside requires many sacrifices, but these experiences keep rural communities sane. In this way, the people living here may be able to handle the news about the European Parliament in a better way: its body, which is being buried under a huge wave of corruption, he noted. The world is living in an age of uncertainty, in the last 15-20 years the Union has been falling from crisis to crisis, and a war is raging in our immediate neighbor. The faulty European responses to the war, the sanctions, brought unprecedented inflation and energy supply uncertainty, he said.
In recent times, perhaps together with the Austrians, the Hungarian government only says that peace is the only solution to the current crisis situation. Judit Varga also mentioned that there were many difficulties surrounding the five months of work, which was about fully fulfilling the conditions negotiated with the union in a fair, constructive dialogue. In the meantime, the government worked for the Hungarian people, who are entitled to the EU funds, which can contribute to improving their quality of life, strengthening their communities and developing their settlements, he declared. As a result of the work, we can look forward to a nice Christmas, as the agreement with Brussels has been reached, he added.
The head of the ministry promised that the cabinet will continue to use all means to increase the population retention power of the Hungarian countryside in the future, just as it provided assistance for the renovation of the Nyír community center.
