Yesterday, the camels of the Sokoró Gate were officially presented for the first time. The world's largest Székely gate will be 10 and a half meters high and 16 meters wide and will have a carved surface of 28 square meters. Among other things, the coat of arms of the sixty-four historical counties. The organizers would like them all to be made by different woodcarvers living in the area of the given county, thereby strengthening the message of unity.

The one in Sokorópátka will be the first Székely gate in the country under which road traffic passes. I would like to realize the monumental Székely gate entirely through civil cooperation.

- We bought an area of three thousand square meters for the purpose, as we want to create a park next to the gate - said the mastermind Péter Vajda, president of the Sokorói Landscape Association. For the nearly 30 million investment, we have already received many offers, in addition to the funds, several local entrepreneurs are helping with raw materials, expertise and work. The Pedro bakery supports the construction of the gate with HUF 100 for every Székely bread sold. Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte, even though he agreed to be the main patron of the initiative.

They are now ordering the required amount of wood for the gate, which was offered from Transylvania.

"Technically, it will also be a great challenge to prepare." The finished gate will weigh approximately 11 and a half tons, said master woodcarver Sándor Pető from Transylvania, who has lived in Somogy county for three years. He made the current record goal and he will also work on the Sokoró goal. We are waiting for applications from woodcarving artists who live in one of the 64 historical counties and would make its coat of arms, using the wood material we send. We welcome all Hungarian specialists from anywhere in the world to carve the gate.
