The research biologist, the patentee of synthetic mRNA-based vaccine technology, donated part of the money awarded with the "Debrecen Award for Molecular Medicine" to support the laboratory's activities.
"With the acquisition of the device, a new era in the life of the laboratory began," the statement quoted the head of the DE Department of Orthopedics and the Biomechanics Laboratory.
According to its description, the holographic device is a special pair of glasses. "With its help, we can place ourselves in the so-called mixed reality, when the elements of the real and the virtual world are visible at the same time," said the professor, adding that the device can be a significant help especially during surgery.
The staff of the Biomechanics Laboratory would like to improve the software of the device. They could replace navigation devices that are extremely expensive and difficult to use during use, said Zoltán Csernátony.
