Péter Márki-Zay, the leader of the Mendiki Magyarországa Movement, has started fundraising again. This time, he is asking for money to support the campaign for the Jászberény interim local government election, and he is recruiting activists in an appeal published on his social media page on Tuesday.

The former left-wing prime minister candidate said, "the Jászberény election is David's fight against Goliath. The balance of power is unequal, as the people in power from Fidesz are facing a local local patriot team."

Márki-Zay asks his followers to help the candidates of the Közön Jászberényért Association either with activist work or financial support. In the post, you provided MMM's bank account number, the amounts can be transferred there.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that money has been deposited into MMM's account. Earlier, during the parliamentary campaign, and even afterwards, substantial sums of money flowed from America to the movement.

At that time, more than HUF 1.8 billion in aid came to the left through the Action for Democracy organization headed by Dávid Korányi. Korányi also acted as an advisor to former prime minister Gordon Bajnai and mayor Gergely Karácsony.

The country's sovereignty may have been damaged due to American influence, so the national security services are also investigating the case, the police and the National Tax and Customs Office have launched an investigation.

The Magyar Nemzet contacted Péter Márki-Zay in connection with the collection of campaign funds in Jászberény, who said that he would not see anything objectionable in the movement's account receiving funds from abroad again. The former Prime Minister candidate would once again accept the offers of Hungarians abroad. "We didn't ask for it, but we don't see anything objectionable if foreign Hungarians would support our movement again," said the Hódmezővásárhely politician, emphasizing that neither the MMM nor the Közön Jászberényért Egyesület are parties.

It should be remembered that the politician also made similar statements regarding the parliamentary election campaign funds, but it was clearly revealed that the donors did not have to include their passport numbers with the transfers, which means that left-wing campaign financing became chaotic, as foreign and American citizens could also make donations without further ado. This is how it happened that essentially the entire campaign of the dollar left was financed from overseas.
