If the left were in power, there would be no 13th month pension, no pension increase, and the system of utility stops and price caps would not protect the elderly. However, Fidesz-KDNP respects the elderly, Nacsa Lőrinc, KDNP parliamentary representative, said in a video statement on Tuesday.

The ruling party politician emphasized that Europe is going through difficult times due to the failed Brussels sanctions and the war in Ukraine, but Hungarian pensioners can still count on the help of the ruling parties.

He reminded: the governing parties rebuilt it, and this year they will keep the 13th monthly pension, as well as helping the elderly to live with utility reductions and price caps. In fact, the elderly received a pension supplement and a pension premium, and on January 1, the government increased pensions by 15 percent.

According to Lőrinc Nacsa, the elderly cannot count on the left even in difficult times, because when they were in power, they only made pensioners miserable. The Gyurcsánys took one month's pension from them and let the pensions depreciate in value. They tripled the price of gas and doubled the price of electricity, made medical care compulsory, and raised the VAT on food to the sky, said the politician from the ruling party.
