The pastor claims that "the history of biblical interpretation is littered with the opinions of rich, white, heterosexual, cisgender, able-bodied, neurotypical men," writes the author of the European Conservative.

The first non-binary priest of the Church of England, the Reverend Bingo Allison, who was ordained in 2020, studied in the Diocese of Durham before joining the Diocese of Liverpool. He also praised the openness and inclusive attitude of the diocese, which, according to him, "does a lot to support and strengthen LGBT people."

Allison, 36, grew up in a deeply religious family where homosexuality was viewed as a sin according to biblical teaching. Seven years ago, however, he was said to have been "enlightened" after reading the book of Genesis:

"There is room for change and transformation in God's creation. Just because we were created one way doesn't mean we can't live another way.”

According to Allison, the Bible speaks of "masculinity and femininity," not male and female. According to him, "it is a deepening spiritual experience."

The self-proclaimed “gender-queer” pastor, who uses the third person pronoun (they/them), is married to a woman and has three children. He goes on to admit that this "revelation" seven years ago was not easy for his wife:

"Obviously you marry what you think is a straight man, but obviously things are more complicated than that."

The process of coming out was gradual so that their small children could get used to the idea. According to Allison, they now have no difficulty accepting her new identity:

"My kids are young, and when you're young you accept most things, and they've been very nice about it." (This is the key sentence of the story, as if pointing out the purpose of the LGBT lobby's sensitization aimed at children - ed.)

But Allison also reinterprets biblical texts in other ways, arguing that biblical interpretation has been biased for centuries, and therefore would widen the struggle beyond the boundaries of the gay and trans world.

"Bible interpretation is filled with the opinions of rich, white, straight, cisgender, able-bodied, neurotypical men who assume that everyone else thinks like them and perceives the world like they do."

The priest also uses social media for activism: he wears heavy makeup and

uses the slogan "Jesus loves glitter eyeshadow" in her videos.

He also emphasizes that LGBT people also have a place in the church, which is why he often appears in schools.

Allison welcomes the rise of the transgender cause among young people, calling them especially "open." According to a survey by Stonewall, an LGBT organization, more than a quarter of 16-26 year olds now identify as LGBT; to them it is proof that Britain is increasingly becoming a 'rainbow nation'.

Obviously, if they change it to…
