The Center for Fundamental Rights organized a conference entitled: Who decides the future of Europe - the power of bribes and the censors of Big Tech or the Europeans? Patricia Chagnon, the French National Compact (RN) MEP, Hermann Tertsch, the Spanish VOX MEP, and Ernő Schaller-Baross, the Fidesz MEP, analyzed the current situation of the European Union from different perspectives. The conservative, sovereignist politicians gave a lecture on the European institutional system burdened by a series of crises. Accounting is important: European Parliament elections will be held in 2024. The conference was reported by Origo, from which we publish details.

There is approximately a year and a half until the next EP election. For this, it is necessary to know the state of the European Parliament and the EU institutional system and what has happened since its establishment. The round table discussion of the Center for Fundamental Rights was used for this calculation.

Patricia Chagnon, politician of the French National Consolidation, it is really interesting to reflect on what has happened in the last seventy years. The European Union was initially created as an association of states. These states were created for peace and prosperity. That was the initial goal of this project.

HE EMPHASIZED THAT OUR DAYS WE CAN SEE THAT THE ALLIANCE BASED ON INITIAL COOPERATION IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE AN IMPERIALIST ENTITY.

To clarify the concept of imperialism, the politician clarified its characteristics. Such a country has a centralized government - we don't have a European president yet, but we have a powerful European Commission that does whatever it wants.

WE ALREADY HAVE AN ANTHEM - THE MODE OF JOY -, THERE IS AN EU FLAG, AND THESE ARE ALL THE ATTRIBUTES OF A COUNTRY. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE EU PASSPORT, THE COMMON CURRENCY, THE EURO.

According to the representative, we can see that the leftists want to create something new. They want to make you believe that the old times and things are obsolete and that a new, modern era is emerging, they must create a completely new society according to their beliefs. Their ideology reflects that we have gone beyond what has gone before, they are the new future.

The cornerstone of their ideology is that they believe they can do anything they want to anyone.

IN HIS SPEECH, THE REPRESENTATIVE EMPHASIZED THAT THE PAST IMPERIALIST EMPIRES ENFORCED THEIR WILL WITH AN ARMY, HOWEVER, THE EU DOES NOT HAVE SUCH, SO IT ACHIEVES ITS GOALS THROUGH FINANCIAL SANCTIONS AND EXERCISE OF PRESSURE.

Here he highlighted the EU's blackmail against Hungary and Poland. With these tools, I would like to ensure that these countries join the mainstream of the EU. I think that today's European Union has become an imperialist community - stated the French politician.

VOX MEP Hermann Tertsch said that the current state of the rule of law in Spain is worrying . As he noted, no one is talking about this situation. He added that if even a small part of what is happening in Spain were to happen in Hungary, the country would be "publicly uprooted" in Brussels.

The Spanish politician reported that Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez is constantly changing laws to reduce the penalties for his allies. As he sarcastically noted: of course, Ursula von der Leyen does not say a word on the matter.

Ernő Schaller-Baross, the Fidesz EP representative, answered a question about the situation of the EU and Hungary and said that we lost 50 years because of the Iron Curtain. They didn't really care about this in the West. We have always seen the EU as something to be close to the West, to work, to trade and to study.

The European Union is an association of independent states - as it was at the moment of our accession - and not a federalist state. We abide by the rules as we accepted them at the time of our joining.

THE POLITICIAN EMPHASIZED THAT THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION ARE NOT OBSERVING THESE RULES AND ARE ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN POWER BY GRADUALLY GRANTING POWER TO CREATE A FEDERALIST SUPER STATE.

According to Patricia Chagnon, if you look at the EU as an imperialist community, you can see why it doesn't work. This is not a federation, the politician stated. He cited the United States as an example, where the interests and powers of the various member states are respected through a high degree of subsidiarity and the independence of the member states.

IN THE EU, A BODY NOT VOTED BY ANYONE OFTEN TRY TO FORCE LAWS ON THE MEMBER STATES, WHICH EVEN CONTRARY TO THEIR NATIONAL CONSTITUTIONS.

As the politician of the National Compact stated, this is not the EU, because the European Union is us, the community of people.
