Even in the light of what we know so far, the funding scandal surrounding the dollar left was shockingly serious. And the latest facts reveal an even more serious case, as the size of the funds received from abroad, it is not known exactly from whom, can reach HUF 4 billion.

The first information about the rolling dollars came to light last November, after Péter Márki-Zay's speech at the end of the summer, the secret services prepared a report for the National Security Committee on who and how much money could support the campaign of the left from abroad. In the autumn, it became certain that through the Action for Democracy organization linked to the confidant of Gergely Karácsony and Gordon Bajnai, Dávid Korányi, several billion forints worth of funds came to Hungary, and even directly to Péter Márki-Zay's Everybody's Hungary Movement, which was one of the key players in the left 's election campaign . Then, over time, it became more and more certain that

the alleged micro-donors mentioned by Dávid Korányi and Péter Márki-Zay may be around a dozen, and the money offered by them does not seem "micro" at all from this point of view.

The other main beneficiary of the "donations" was a company called Ezalényeg.hu, which operates a left-wing discrediting portal, which is also run by a Bajnai confidant, one of his former advisers. This enterprise received approximately HUF 1 billion from the micro-donations brought to our country by Action for Democracy. So this is what we know so far.

At the same time, new reports made public on Wednesday reveal an even darker picture of the most serious party financing scandal in Hungarian history after the regime change. On the one hand, it turned out that 160 million forints more than what was known so far came from Korányi's "collection",

in principle, the amount allocated to the left from American micro-donations therefore reaches HUF 3 billion 174 million.

Almost 60% of this money was given to Péter Márki-Zay's movement, which he has been proudly supporting ever since. However, there is one more very interesting thing in the files that have just been made public. It turned out that the company operating the Ezalényeg.hu portal received a total of HUF 887 million between September 2021 and February 2022, in the form of 5 transfers, from a Swiss foundation, in addition to the more than HUF 1 billion it received from the Korányis.

Why was it in the interest of a Swiss foundation to support the Hungarian left and where did it collect almost HUF 1 billion for this purpose? We don't know that yet.

So the questions keep multiplying in the matter of the rolling dollars, as well as the money that was transferred from abroad to who knows what, to the Hungarian left. The recipe seems to have been to bypass the party financing law and channel the funds to various companies and NGOs. Further investigations will decide whether this was legal, but we can already be sure that it violated the interests of national security and Hungary's sovereignty. In light of this, the question is becoming increasingly pressing

who are really behind Action for Democracy and the mysterious Swiss foundation? If this were revealed, we would have much more information about what the real goal was.

Based on what has happened so far, it can now be more and more clearly stated that the Hungarian left is struggling in the web of foreign and unknown persons and interests - it is therefore worth examining their behavior and statements in various domestic political matters with this in mind.
