The European Union is constantly making Hungary and Poland much stricter and more thorough. is subject to scrutiny like the other EU countries. This seriously violates the principle of equal treatment. It continuously includes matters falling under national competence according to the basic agreement. It connects the payment of subsidies with conditions that are unrelated to the reason and purpose of the subsidy. Below, I will try to reveal the mental disposition (attitude) that makes all of this possible, writes Pál Bartha in his readers' opinion article
Jose Ortega y Gasset writes in his work "The Revolt of the Masses" (1929): "In the versions of syndicalism and fascism, the type of man who does not seek principles, does not strive to be right, but is simply determined, appears for the first time in Europe himself to the rape of his own perception. This is the new:
the right to be unprincipled, the principle of unprincipledness."
The main characteristics of the concept of unprincipledness are: lack of moral principles, lack of scruples, compromise, cloak-and-dagger, lack of conscience, etc. The new type of person detected by J. Ortega is mostly characterized by a lack of moral principles and unbridled violence. In the last hundred years, this new type of person posed a serious threat to society when it gained political power, because then it could use the state's violent organization - NKVD, Gestapo, ÁVH. That's what the communists and the Nazis did. Nowadays, this type of person who does not seek principles and is unabashedly violent dominates the leadership of the Union! Of course, nowadays he uses a more sophisticated device. The purchased globalist neoliberal media, which terrorizes society instead of the violent organization of the state, forces them to use politically correct speech. In the West, it has created an atmosphere that forces citizens to self-censor for existential reasons. Anyone who expresses an opinion against the "sacred cows" of the mainstream is ostracized, labeled, slandered, has his career broken in two, or is simply fired from his job. The brutal disciplinary power of the neoliberal media was bluntly formulated by the Nobel Prize-winning Russian writer Solzhenitsyn as follows: "The fact
that the press has become the greatest power in the Western world; more powerful than the legislature, the executive, or the judiciary. We could ask: Who elected him and to whom is he accountable?"
There are two ways of Brussels' power violence. A sophisticated tool is stealth legislation. When I was preparing for the civil service exam in 2001, the curriculum stated the following: one of the most important principles of the European Union is subsidiarity. This means solving problems at the lowest possible level. Stealth legislation abolishes the principle of subsidiarity. They assert their rights in matters that fall within the jurisdiction of the nation-state under the basic treaty.
Financial extortion is the tool of unscrupulous power violence. If you are not pro-migrant or pro-gender, then we will find a reason to withdraw EU funds - this is roughly what President Ursula von der Leyen said in America, using Hungary and Poland as examples. The blocking of the cohesion fund is based on the principle of unprincipledness, because it is not a donation. The former socialist countries receive support because they opened their markets to companies from the West. This is offset by support for economic catch-up. Linking this with rule of law conditions is a violation of the basic principle of the convention.
A classic example of the principle of unprincipledness is the double standard. The Latin saying rules Brussels: Quod licet Jovi, non licet bovi! The clear proof of this is that, while Hungary and Poland are constantly being examined with hair-splitting thoroughness in all areas, they are much more generous towards the friendly country or the quietly slumbering country. While Brussels is holding Hungary accountable for the transparency of public procurement, President Ursula von der Leyen has purchased 1.8 billion doses of vaccines worth 35 billion dollars. He concluded this horrible deal by text alone! "Thanks to the deal concluded with the EU, the American and German companies can register an extra profit of roughly 25 billion euros," Magyar Nemzet writes on 10/15/2022. My question: didn't the president's wife or her husband benefit from such a big deal? I doubt. As long as Hungary is being accused of systemic corruption without evidence, the progressives in Brussels are not concerned about how four million euros ended up in the account of the Cypriot Commissioner Stella Kyriakides, who is responsible for healthcare and vaccine procurement? Recently, the socialist vice-president of the EP, the Greek Eva Kaila, and her colleagues were arrested on charges of corruption. Sixty people involved are mentioned in the media, which is already systemic corruption, yet the accusation of corruption against Hungary is not dropped. (There is an opinion that the pot was covered by German capital in order to curb the overpowering of the EP.) The double standard can also be seen in the neglect of the latest Hungarian national consultation. While according to Brussels, the 16 percent participation of voters in the national consultation is too low, the 1 percent response rate of the most effective EU survey (clock change) is praised. The double standard is the arbitrariness of power itself!
Finally, I will try to grasp the essence of today's political system of the Union. For this, I quote from Wikipedia: " The terms authoritarianism or authoritarian come from the French word autoritaire, which means: not tolerant of contradiction, powerful, etc... Authoritarian systems can be autocratic or oligarchic in nature... An oligarchy is a political system where power is held by a relatively small it is concentrated in the hands of a group of people who govern in their own interest and exert a decisive influence on power and decision-making." The latter definition fits exactly the corrupt political system of the Union. The Union is therefore a specific oligarchy where the left-liberal majority of the European Commission and the European Parliament in the matters that arise
"he doesn't look for principles, he doesn't try to be right" , he simply forces his own perception on his discussion partner. With this attitude, he raises the principle of unprincipledness to legal force!
And this is the death of democracy. J. Ortega noticed with a sharp eye the appearance of the eternal revolutionary as a dangerous type of man for society. Nowadays, this type of man is now in a third guise trying to bring heaven to earth for humanity. God save me from this!
