Viktor Orbán greeted the heroes of the rescue in Turkey

"In trouble, it becomes clear who can be counted on, we, the Hungarians, can be counted on," declared the prime minister.

He said: one hundred and sixty-seven Hungarians, professionals and volunteers, took part in the rescue after the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey, in which at least 44,000 people lost their lives. Thirty-five people were rescued from the ruins by risking their lives, he pointed out.

Several of the rescuers were also invited to the argument evaluation speech, and Viktor Orbán and those present greeted them with applause.

There have never been so many people working in Hungary

One million people went to work, so many people have never worked in Hungary - declared Viktor Orbán.

The Prime Minister emphasized: the Hungarian economy has grown threefold, and the minimum wage is already higher than the average wage under the socialists.

According to Viktor Orbán, they reorganized the Hungarian state with a "courage that defies Brussels" and, pushing aside the stragglers, built a new Hungarian economy in which everyone was given a chance to find their own way.

"It was a tiring ten years, we sweated a lot, we had bruised knees and elbows, quite a few blisters, but we felt it was worth it," said the Prime Minister.

"When you look at your opponent, judge them not by their numbers, but by their ability"

The left should understand that millions of dollars and influential patrons are not enough to win, said Viktor Orbán.

In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized: victory requires heart, luck is not enough.

Speaking about the election, Viktor Orbán said: the entire left united against the governing parties, "Brussels tried to dry up the treasury, and Uncle Gyuri rolled in four billion forint dollars from America so that their comrades would have something to shoot at us."

"They visited Porir, this was calibrated again... Not a little, a lot," the Prime Minister continued, then added: they will even pay for it.

The world was headed for the Wild West

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán considered the year 2022 to be the most difficult of the 32 years since the regime change.

The prime minister said that after the coronavirus epidemic, the world did not return to the right path, but entered the years of war. Everything has changed in politics and the economy, the world has definitely headed towards the Wild West, he declared.

According to Viktor Orbán, we have actually been living our lives under constant pressure since March 2020, that is, for almost three years, and it could easily be four or even five years.

He added: when the West entered the war with sanctions, everything had to be rethought. This took away the months after the April election, said the Prime Minister.

If 2022 was the most difficult, then 2023 will be the most dangerous year since the regime change

If 2022 was the most difficult, then 2023 will be the most dangerous year since the regime change; In addition to migration, which has slowly stabilized, two new enemies and dangers are lurking: war and inflation, Viktor Orbán said.

The prime minister stated: "if we want to protect Hungary, if we want a peaceful life for ourselves, we have only one choice, to stay out of the Russian-Ukrainian war".

At the same time, he raised the question of "whether it is right, whether it is morally right for us to stay out of the war." It is correct, in fact, it is the only correct one - declared Viktor Orbán.

The family policy, the work-based economy and overhead protection will remain

The family policy will remain, the work-based economy will remain, the agreement with pensioners will remain and with it the thirteenth monthly pension, and the utility protection will also remain - declared Viktor Orbán.

The prime minister stated: the government can keep the strategic sectors taken over by Hungary, the banking sector, the energy sector, the media industry, and even the telecommunications and infocommunications area will be "re-explained".

The promise made to the countryside also remains, "we will launch unprecedented developments, we will provide as much money as the Hungarian countryside has never seen," said Viktor Orbán.

He indicated that the plan to catch up with the eastern part of the country remains. "Next to the Győr-Szombathely-Veszprém industrial zone, we will include the Debrecen-Nyíregyháza-Miskolc triangle," he said.

He added: this requires energy, a lot of energy, as much as has never been needed in Hungary, so power plants and pipeline systems will be built "even if Brussels is not willing to take a role in this".

"More respect for Hungarians in Munkács, Kiev, Brussels and Washington"

The people of Brussels have not yet given their lives in this war, but the Hungarians have already, said Viktor Orbán.

In his speech, the prime minister emphasized: "we live here", and the war is taking place on the land of the neighboring country.

While Hungarian symbols are being thrown down in Munkács, Hungarian leaders are being replaced at the head of our schools, many are dying a heroic death on the front line, the Prime Minister stated.

The Transcarpathian Hungarian minority does not deserve this, Viktor Orbán declared, adding: "more respect for the Hungarians in Munkács, Kiev, Brussels and Washington".

The difference is in the tools

Lives can only be saved with a cease-fire and immediate peace negotiations, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The prime minister said: our pro-peace position and the others' pro-war position brings the differences to the surface, the fact that we are in complete agreement regarding the strategic goals is obscured: we want Russia not to pose a threat to Europe and for there to be a sufficiently wide gap between Russia and Hungary and deep territory, a sovereign Ukraine.

The difference is in the means: according to the war supporters, this can be achieved by defeating Russia, and according to us, with an immediate ceasefire and peace negotiations, he emphasized. He added that there is another serious argument in favor of our proposal: lives can only be saved with a ceasefire.

The loss of life is already in the order of hundreds of thousands, the pain, the widowhood, the increase in the number of orphans, the waves of the sea of suffering can only be silenced with a ceasefire, he said.

The Prime Minister stated: NATO membership is vital for Hungary, we are too far on the eastern edge of the Western world to give it up. At the same time, he also emphasized: NATO is a defense alliance, not a war alliance, a war coalition. NATO membership does not entail any obligations beyond common defense, and the member states cannot expect each other to attack a third country together for some kind of common military goal, he said.

A press man after a good friend

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is expecting an increasingly harsh and ruthless tone towards Hungary, who said that the Ukrainian-Russian war will become increasingly wild and cruel.

The prime minister stated in his annual evaluation speech held at the Várkert Bazaar in Budapest on Saturday that one must be prepared for provocations, insults, threats and blackmail.

According to the politician's assessment, "we are long past the exercise of diplomatic pressure respecting sovereignty".

He added that instead of a good friend, American President Joe Biden sent "a press man, a press man" to the ambassador to force the Hungarians into the war camp at any cost, to force a declaration of accession from them.
