The pro-peace position of the Hungarian national government has already been in the crosshairs, so it is likely that the left-liberal elite will continue its "revenge campaign" against conservative politics in the future.

constitutional lawyer Zoltán Lomnici said to the Magyar Nemzet. The legal expert of the Századvég Foundation also spoke to the paper about:

offering the most modern military technology to Ukraine will not lead to peace, but to further escalation of the war.

- Since the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Hungary has consistently taken a pro-peace position and advocates an early end to the armed conflict, but with the exception of the Vatican, it is practically the only one in Europe with this position. Could this give Brussels new ammunition to withhold EU funds?

- Few people support Hungary's pro-peace position among the decision-makers in Brussels, however, citizens of many member states have already joined the camp of peace and - looking at international trends - it is possible that the decision-makers in Brussels will eventually become a minority with their pro-war position. More than 70,000 people took part in a recent pro-peace demonstration in the Czech Republic demanding peace, security and an end to arms shipments to Ukraine. In addition to the demonstration in Prague, pro-peace demonstrations were also held last Saturday in Berlin - where, according to the organizers, 50,000 people showed up - and in Paris. Signs reading "Americans go home" appeared at the events, which is a strong message for the EU as well, that Brussels bureaucrats follow the US foreign policy and argue in favor of arms shipments. Michael Tracey - a well-known American journalist and reporter - drew attention to the fact that the position of the United States - demanding arms deliveries and rejecting peace negotiations - is not particularly popular outside the EU, since, for example, Mexico, India, China and South Africa also want peace. they demand, but Donald Trump also argues in favor of ending the war in the USA.

However, we have already seen in the past that the EU is trying to punish certain member states for political reasons - without taking into account professionalism and the principles of the EU - so, unfortunately, it is also not inconceivable that the policy of common sense will be hit by new sanctions, with which the bureaucrats in Brussels will violate such principles of the EU they would disregard it like freedom or democracy. In a normative sense, the European Union should set itself the goal of returning to its basic principles, taking into account which no member state could be punished for political reasons, and the slogan of promoting peace could gain space again among the EU's goals.

Given that at the end of the previous year, an agreement was reached between our country and the EU on the disbursement of a large part of the funds and the withholding of a smaller part until specific conditions are met, the possibility of further withholding - applying the double standard - can only be based on political and not legal or rational grounds .

- In a Twitter post yesterday, liberal MEP Guy Verhofstadt explained that he would revoke our country's right to vote, but a few posts earlier, he demanded more arms shipments to Ukraine. Can it be expected that our country will once again be in the crosshairs of the left-liberal elite of the EU due to its pro-peace stance?

- The pro-peace position has already been in the crosshairs, so it is likely that the left-liberal elite will continue its revenge campaign against conservative politics in the future, thinking of the thoughts of left-wing EU Parliamentarians at the end of February, according to which "European politicians treat Hungary with an unnecessarily refined correctness". . However, it is worth putting the statements of the liberal representatives of the Western world into context, since the dangers of this conflict are perhaps not as clearly visible to Western European eyes as they are directly from Ukraine's neighborhood.

The emotionally overheated statements of the representatives of the liberal elite can therefore also be attributed to the fact that the escalation of the war from Western Europe and the United States does not seem as risky as from Hungary, since the deployment of possible - newer and more dangerous - weapons poses less of a threat to their security of existence.
