A popular Catholic kindergarten will have to move from Újbuda under the leadership of DK-Momentum - László Molnár, XI. the Fidesz-KDNP representative of the district municipality.

According to his information, the well-known Albertfalvi Don Bosco Catholic kindergarten has been operating in Újbuda for more than twenty years to the satisfaction of the district's residents. According to the politician's confession, he was one of the first church-run kindergartens to open its doors in the district in 2001, but after barely three "kindergarten cycles" (children attend kindergarten for 3-4 years), i.e. 7 generations, they decided to move. From Újbuda.

According to László Molnár, this is due to the church's many years of unsuccessful negotiations with the local government, as the district management did not want to come to an agreement with them, and instead of constructive help that took into account the interests of the families, they hindered their further rational operation.

"Everyone is a loser in this story: the parents, the children, the dedicated employees of the kindergarten and the district as a whole," said the representative. According to László Molnár, the municipality's decision cannot be supported by public education-professional, economic, or urban development reasons.

According to the politician, in the meantime, in the neighboring district (Budafokon), as part of a church investment, five new group kindergartens may open in September, while in the largest district of Budapest there will not be a single kindergarten maintained by the Catholic Church, which means that nearly 100 places for children with kindergarten care will be lost. Based on László Molnár's opinion, it is striking that under the current leadership of the district, the support of the churches is constantly decreasing, as well as the difficulty and obstruction of the functioning of the church institutions, which is a sad reflection of the ideologically based anti-church attitude of the DK-Momentum with complete disregard for the views of the families living in the district.

"The future of a settlement or district is the children born there and the families living there. Wherever there is development, kindergartens are built, beautified, and protected - in Újbuda, it seems, they are being chased away," said the representative, who believes that it is unprecedented in the history of Újbuda for a church institution to be chased away by the district leadership, but it seems that the local party soldiers are implementing it to the maximum the task given to them by their party: against the professional arguments, the families living in the district, and the children growing up here.
