In Germany, the police are also investigating in connection with the crime committed by far-left activists in our country. Several people were detained during raids in the Connewitz district of Leipzig and in Jena, Junge Freiheit reported.

The police in Leipzig and Jena searched several apartments of supporters of the left-wing extremist scene. The police seized batons, mobile phones, laptops, data carriers, pepper spray and a baseball bat - it was revealed in the article, in which it is written that the raid is related to the four attacks committed in Budapest in February.

According to the suspicion, a group of radicals, consisting of a German citizen, an Italian and a Hungarian woman, beat a total of eight people, and they were seen as "neo-Nazis". According to assumptions, they are all members of the same radical and aggressive left-wing cell, which was controlled by Lina E. from Dresden.

The public prosecutor's office in Dresden initiated proceedings against seven people, several of whom are said to live in Leipzig. The police searched apartments in the Connewitz district around Eisenbahnstraße and Eichendorffstraße. The fact that the special forces also took part in the investigation clearly proves that the group is not harmless.

Georg Maier (SPD) told Bild-Zeitung about the searches in Jena: "This morning's measures make it clear that the security forces in central Germany are taking consistent action against violent crimes by suspected left-wing extremists." He added that his province has established a special state security committee within the state criminal office, which works closely with its colleagues in Saxony.
