Justice Minister Judit Varga in her Facebook post to the news that 15 EU member states announced that they would participate on the side of the European Commission in the EU lawsuit against Hungary over the Child Protection Act.

"The left-liberal press reported in a frenzy about which countries, in addition to the corrupt European Parliament, joined the European Commission in the lawsuit against the Hungarian child protection law. We would like to point out that in such a procedure it is not the number of intervenors that decides, but – if we can trust the independent judgment of the European Court of Justice – the appropriate/correct interpretation of EU law, for example, where the national powers separate from the EU powers.

The Hungarian argument is fully consistent with the provisions of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, which states that raising children is the exclusive right of parents. Furthermore, according to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, education is a national competence.

It is sad that several member state governments have given in to the gender propaganda promoted from Brussels and overseas, not to mention that all minorities are now significantly more important to the Commission, such as native nationalities.

They hit, kick, bite, stigmatize, but no one can go against the result of last April's referendum and the unanimous will of 3.7 million Hungarians.

We will protect our children and stand by our child protection law, and in the fall we will submit new measures to the Parliament. Hungary will have the strictest child protection regulations in Europe."
