According to information from Magyar Hírlap, more than two-thirds of the funds received from abroad for the left's campaign last year came directly or indirectly from György Soros. During the campaign, Soros' son also publicly supported the fundraising of Korányi's Action for Democracy. We now present a series of additional indirect evidences.
The paper learned from reliable sources that more than two-thirds of the dollars that went to the left during last year's election came directly or indirectly from György Soros. There have already been many signs pointing in this direction, but before presenting them, it is worth recalling what can be known so far about the scandal of the dollar left.
In January 2023, the second partial report prepared by the National Information Center for the national security committee of the parliament was published.
This revealed that the American organization Action for Democracy, founded by the former chief adviser of Gergely Karácsony, Dávid Korányi, transferred nearly HUF 3.2 billion to Hungary before and after the Hungarian elections.
In addition, a mysterious Swiss foundation provided nearly HUF 900 million to Oraculum 2020 Kft., which is the publisher of the expiration portal called EzaLényeg. This means that a total of more than HUF 4 billion came from abroad to the campaign of the left.
Of all this, no less than one and a half billion HUF went partly from the Hungarian recipients and partly directly from overseas to the DatAdat group connected to the Bajnai Gordons. It is well known that Bajnai's unsuccessful return in the first half of the 2010s was partly financed by the George Soros-linked Center for American Progress.Open investigations have also been launched into the 2022 rolling dollars case, in connection with DatData, the police are investigating the misuse of personal data, and the National Tax and Customs Administration is conducting a procedure for budget fraud. With regard to American funds, NAV also ordered an investigation on suspicion of budget fraud, and the National Bureau of Investigation investigated money laundering and embezzlement. The latter investigation was later taken over by the tax authority.
There were already many signs pointing in the direction of Soros' financing. For example, on March 26, 2022, just a few days before the April 3 election, the son of the billionaire speculator, Alexander Soros, even published an advertisement on his Twitter page for the Action for Democracy organization behind the rolling dollars scandal. It is worth noting that this call was also projected in New York's Times Square, and Alexander Soros himself posted the campaign's motto on Twitter: "Help the Hungarians choose."
In addition, Kati Marton, one of the organizers of the fundraiser, maintains a close relationship with György Soros and his son, as evidenced by a photo from March 2018.
In addition to all this, Magyar Nemzet also revealed that a few days before Action for Democracy's first transfer to Hungary, Dávid Korányi also participated in a conference in Munich, where Alex Soros, the son of billionaire businessman György Soros, was present. This is proven, among other things, by a video, as well as the fact that at the relevant panel discussion of the conference held between February 18 and 20, 2022, Karácsony was the only one who did not know English, so he read his pre-written text in Hungarian. And Korányi translated it for the other participants.
Although the Márki-Zays repeatedly talked about micro-donations, there was actually a lot of evidence pointing in the opposite direction for quite some time. For example, although the organization Action for Democracy had just been created, it almost immediately supported the campaign of the left with hundreds of millions .Later, Philip Rákay also refuted the legend of micro-donations in a summary video, when he showed that the Action for Democracy (AD) fundraising interface showed only 11 supporters during the campaign. Moreover, Dávid Korányi himself, Gergely Karácsony's former advisor and head of the Action for Democracy organization, revealed that they had institutional supporters as well.
Last but not least, at the end of January 2023, the former communications director of the MSZP, György Kerényi, wrote on the website of the exclusively American-funded Radio Free Europe that most of the foreign money for the Hungarian dollar side came from the billionaire György Soros, with the help of former Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai . Kerényi put it specifically like this:
"Nobody is still revealing the true source of the money that Gordon Bajnai organized (although his name did not come up in discussions about the support, but everyone treats it as a fact that it mostly came from György Soros, who is well connected to Bajnai), the support used in the competition between the parties is a civilian came to the organization."
