Dunja Mijatovic, the Council of Europe's human rights commissioner, called on the Lithuanian parliament to reject the draft amendment to the border protection law, which would legalize the deportation of persons in need of international protection, in a statement on Monday.

According to the commissioner of the Strasbourg organization, this legislative process should be guided by human rights norms, and the border protection law should use a protection-oriented approach in the field of migration and asylum.

The amending draft was announced last November by the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior, claiming that Belarus deliberately brings illegal immigrants to Lithuania through the common border of the two countries. Among other things, the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior proposed that the law includes the possibility of not allowing foreigners who violate the procedure to enter Lithuania during a state-level emergency.

Mijatovic drew attention: the protection of the right to life and the prohibition of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment must be fully respected, even in emergency situations. He pointed out that there are worrying reports coming from Lithuania about violence against migrants and their illegal deportation. In his opinion, there is a need to remove entry restrictions on the Lithuanian borders, allow human rights NGOs to work without obstacles, and provide effective humanitarian assistance.

The Commissioner called on the Lithuanian authorities to respect the prohibition of illegal refoulements and collective expulsions and to ensure effective access to asylum.

Of course, it will happen once Dunja sees fit. And he is right, border protection laws should be defense-oriented, just not in the way the Bosnian Commissioner imagines. Illegal migrants should not be treated in a "protection-oriented" way, but rather the borders. After all, they are there to prevent anyone from entering the territory of that country.

We know that this sounds quite different when read by the Human Rights Commissioner. Translated from Hungarian to Hungarian, he calls for the Lithuanians to open the borders in order to facilitate uncontrolled immigration, not to dare to decide who they accept and who not, and also in general, "all power to the migrants", and what he calls civil, Soros To NGOs funded by Uncle Gyugyó and his like-minded friends.

Mijatovic mentions the "protection of the right to life", but how does this come about? Or do you believe that Lithuanians endanger the lives of illegal immigrants? Our (European) experience so far is just the opposite. Under the protection of life, do you want to recognize the right of migrants to a better life? We are slowly getting to the point where, under the guise of "human rights", they would expect all illegal immigrants to receive - of course - a 4-room, fully furnished apartment, a car (preferably a Mercedes), and free breakfast, lunch and dinner at the nearest 5-star hotel. But I won't continue, because in the end this Dunja will reach the mockery and incorporate it into his program as a proposal.

But there should be life protection, if you mentioned it. It only reveals, dear Dunjuska, did she ever shout "right to life" when the discourse was on abortion? Or does the fetus have no rights to what migrants have?

This Dunja must be pretty, that's for sure. Are you sure you should be sure?
