On April 27, the Komárom Ward Board of the Hungarian Conservative Platform (MKP) met in Komárom, where, in consultation with the local organizations of the district, they unanimously accepted the district candidates proposed for the national elections in September, the person and nomination of György Gyimesi, and the candidate strategy proposed by the district presidency of the Hungarian Association. related decision.

The full text of the accepted decision delivered to the editors of Felvidék.ma is provided below.

"Our district's candidates for the Association's parliamentary candidate list, in alphabetical order, based on proposals received from local organizations and the presidency:

László Ágh, Norbert Becse, István Domin, Tihamér Gyarmati, Tamás Iván, Márton Kiss, Róbert Králik, Gábor Nyul, Miklós Viola.

We reserve one place for a person from the Komárom district who is not a member of our party, but represents the national conservative line. Discussions are still ongoing in this direction.

Komárom, as the 2nd largest district inhabited by Hungarians, in order to create a wider Hungarian unity than today's Szövetség, reserves one candidate seat from our district quota for parliamentarian György Gyimesi

The presidency of the Komárom district observes with regret the activities of the Hungarian Forum trying to divide our community, and it is devastating for us that it chose Slovak micro-parties instead of the Alliance representing unified Hungarian interests. Our movement, as it has been until now, continues to advocate that everyone who wants to run for office, be they national-conservative or neoliberal politicians, get a place on the parliamentary list of the Hungarian Federation.

Be it György Gyimesi, Zsolt Simon, Konrád Rigó, or even the former leading politicians of the predecessor parties. Just as for the MKP Platform, there are people whose opinions we do not agree with on all issues, but we acknowledge and accept that they will be on the list, and for the sake of Hungarianness, we would consider such behavior necessary on the part of the Híd Platform as well.

In our campaign, our platform has shown in several cases that we have bowed our heads and are ready to compromise: we have conceded the mayoral candidacy of the city of Naszvad, and we have also given up one of the candidate seats in the county. The Alliance is not broken by the one who enters it, but by the one who leaves it!"
