László Mozsár, the mayor of Jászágó, was awarded the Jászságért Prize by the Board of Trustees of the "A Jászságért" Foundation and the one million forints associated with it, in recognition of her many decades of multi-faceted, exemplary activities in collecting the local values of Jászágó and preserving the traditions of Jászságó.
According to the Jászok Association, eight proposals were received for the thirty-second award.
Lászlóné Mozsár - born Mária Paksi - moved to Jászágo in 1969. He worked as the director of the local library and then of the cultural center until 2002, when he was elected mayor of Jászágó, the announcement reads.
