The Hungarian Hollywood Council organized its Oscar dinner for the seventh time on the night of the award ceremony in Los Angeles. The organization's recognition, the Adolph Zukor Award, was also presented here.

The Adolph Zukor Award was established in 2018 and can be awarded to those whose work strengthens the reputation of Hungarian film art past and present, and who have demonstrated exemplary behavior throughout their civic activities and throughout their lives, which proves that with willpower, self-belief and commitment dreams can be realized with work.

In 2024, the award was given to cinematographer and director Lajos Koltai for his film career, for strengthening the international reputation of Hungarian film, and violin virtuoso Roby Lakatos for the high-quality presentation of film music works.

As can be seen from the announcement sent to MTI, Balázs Bokor, the president of the Hungarian Hollywood Council, emphasized in his celebratory speech that the namesake of the NGO, the founding father of the Paramount Pictures studio, Adolph Zukor, is a symbol with his life and activities of how, with a lot of effort and will, one can be serious achieve results. He welcomed the fact that among this year's Oscar winners there is again a prize of Hungarian interest: decorator Zsuzsanna Mihalek received the statuette for the best visual.

Robert Downey Jr.'s award, which he received as the best supporting actor (Oppenheimer), can be considered Hungarian, as the actor has ancestors buried in the Jewish cemetery in Tata.
