Kate Winslet, the actress who became famous from Titanic, won the last BAFTA TV award, and the audience did not take what she said in her acceptance speech.
Winslet first spoke to her daughter, saying she would like to cut the statue in half and give half to her. He said that he gave an exceptionally great performance in this emotional and scary subject.
He then spoke about the film, which was made for "families who feel held hostage by the online world and its dangers". However, he also sent an encouraging message to teenagers stuck in the world of social media. He put it like this:
"This doesn't have to be your life!"
He also explained that, believe me, there is no shame in asking for help.
The multi-award-winning actress also spoke to the controllers of the online world, and very firmly. He asked them to
"uploading harmful content should be a punishable act", even if possible, it should be eliminated completely.
He concluded his short speech with an effective and concise message:
We want our children back!
