On Wednesday, the Capital Assembly adopted a resolution on the war in Ukraine that transformed the original Fidesz-KDNP proposal with the amending proposals of the left-wing faction leaders.

The principled resolution embraces the statement of the European Council condemning "the aggressive war launched by Russia against Ukraine". The decision was made with 17 yes votes, 10 no votes and one abstention, the left-wing majority voted yes to the proposal, and the Fidesz-KDNP voted no.

Originally Zsolt Wintermantel , the leader of the Fidesz-KDNP faction in the capital city, submitted the proposal, to which the DK, MSZP, Momentum and Párbeszéd faction leaders submitted amendments, and finally the resolution was adopted with the changes included in them.

Zsolt Wintermantel told journalists after the vote:

the capital's left-wing majority, led by Mayor Gergely Karácsony, rejected the original pro-peace statement

and the amendment proposals qualified the issue as a purely internal political battle. Facts that the government, the right-wing majority of the parliament, Katalin Novák and the European Parliament delegation of Fidesz have declared: they condemn Russia's aggression and that peace negotiations and a cease-fire are needed as soon as possible, he added.

The politician said that from the pro-peace proposal, the left-wing majority took out the fact that Hungary remains a committed member of the European Union and NATO and that Hungary is committed to peace and tries to do everything for peace. After the amendments, it is not included in the resolution that they would call on Hungarian public figures to refrain from any actions that would cause the escalation of the war and Hungary's drift into war.

According to Zsolt Wintermantel, it can be seen why they did this, since Gergely Karácsony's party partner, Bence Tordai, recently stated that: all normal countries send weapons to Ukraine, and Hungary should do the same. This is extremely dangerous, harmful both to Hungary and to the outcome of the war, he said. He added:

they regret that what is important to the left is what is dictated to them from abroad and not the Hungarian people.

The politician's presentation was about the general assembly expressing its commitment to peace and calling on Hungarian public figures to refrain from resolutions and political actions that could cause significant economic damage to the country or could result in Hungary drifting into war. The resolution proposal also stated that Hungary is a committed member of NATO and the European Union, and that Hungary will do everything to promote peace, but instead of arms shipments and additional sanctions, peace negotiations are needed as soon as possible.

The proposal also stated that the economic sanctions adopted in Brussels did not calm the war, but instead "shoved" energy prices, caused economic damage and rampant inflation in all EU member states.

It's a shame to wonder that the globalist majority like a loyal dog licks the hands that roll the farmers' dollars and can't wait for their local representative, Ferenc Gyurcsány, to stroke their beautiful and smart bucks. All that happened was that the capital assembly put in writing the denial of reality, for example, that there is "Orbán inflation" - which of course does not exist, because inflation is a global phenomenon. It is true that it affects different countries to different degrees, the richer ones with greater freedom of movement less, the poorer ones more, but this has nothing to do with the Hungarian government.

You can deny the facts and sing nice words about the lofty goals of the war, but who benefits if the Russians and the Ukrainians continue to kill each other? And who would benefit if we were to drift into the conflict between the two with the "comrade arms delivery"? Arms dealers must…

The globalist part of the capital assembly somehow forgets about such "small things" as the deprivation of rights of the Hungarian minority, the unhindered operation of the Ukrainian fascists and the unhindered acts of intimidation against the Hungarians, or the plan to blow up the oil pipeline, i.e. the destruction of the Hungarian economy. They are not interested in this, because they are not global hosts either. According to their good habit, they would follow the orders from the "big ones" to the last letter, because they think that this is what the order of solidarity demands.

Really? Only we are bound by this command, while anyone can do anything with us, shall we leave it without a word? This is also an option, but I don't like it.

Just as I really don't like the slippage of Mayor Gergely Karácsony, who did not manage to claim that the adopted text "expresses the united will of the members of the assembly".

Indeed? What is unified that was not accepted by 10 representatives? What makes what is doubtful uniform? Mr. Mayor, it would be time for you to get to know the expressive nuances of the Hungarian language. What comes with a dissenting vote can be a majority decision, but to call it unified is a strong exaggeration. Of course, those who are not weeds, but bees, who consider the capital's traffic chaos to be an environmental reform, and who, knowing the wasted budget billions in Budapest, slander and accuse the government of "bleeding" Budapest, also have other slyness.
