For the fourth time this year, single parents and large families living in difficult situations can take a free vacation thanks to the Pro Filii Foundation of the Mészáros Group, the foundation announced to MTI on Wednesday.

As in previous years, the free vacation for single parents and large families living in difficult situations will continue this summer from July 1st to September thanks to the Pro Filii Foundation, the largest charitable organization of the Butcher Group. In addition to half-board, families can spend five-day tours in the renovated wing of Hunguest Hotels' hotels in Zalakaros and Gyula. The National Association of Large Families and the One-Parent Center are also participating in the organization of rest for those in need, the announcement reads.

They recalled that over the past three years, more than ten thousand single parents and large families were able to take a vacation free of charge with the support of the Mészáros Group. The challenges of the past years, the pandemic, inflation and the energy crisis have particularly affected parents with multiple children or raising their children alone, who are forced to spend more and more on living costs.

"Lucky families can relax in the accommodations of Hungary's market-leading rural hotel chain: Hunguest Hotel Freya and Hunguest Hotel Erkel are located in spa towns with a direct connection to the spa. The hotel chain provides half-board for the participants. The 200 million HUF cost of the holiday is covered by the Pro Filii Foundation," they said.

In order to successfully run the program, the foundation is cooperating with the National Association of Large Families (NOE) and the Single Parent Center again this year. You can apply for accommodation by submitting the form published on the websites of the two organizations. Both non-profit organizations request a token contribution of HUF 1,000 per person from those participating in the holiday.

Krisztina Tóth , general secretary of the Pro Filii Foundation, said about the vacation opportunity provided to single parents and large families "year by year, the challenges affecting families put more and more responsibility on the civil sphere, which highlights the social importance of charitable activities. The Pro Filii Foundation has now grown into one of the most important aid organizations in the country, thanks to the continuous financial support of the Mészáros Group and the self-sacrificing work of its colleagues, but this success is also thanks to all the civil organizations who, with their expertise and good service, are able to multiply the assistance of our Foundation. This is how our holiday program can be realized for the fourth time this year, and I trust that the participating families will be enriched with unforgettable experiences".

Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó , president of the National Association of Large Families, explained about the charitable offering: "Families are really looking forward to this opportunity this year as well. Vacationing with three or more children is certainly very expensive, so in many cases this is the only vacation opportunity for families where they can gather experiences together with the children. We are honored to enjoy the trust of the Pro Filii Foundation for the fourth year now, and to be able to enjoy the services it provides. Thank you very much! " - added the president of NOE.

Anna Nagy , the founder and manager of the Single Family Center, said in relation to the holiday program starting on July 1: "families returned home with wonderful experiences after the holidays of the past years. For many families, this was the first vacation when they did not have to deal with the difficulties of everyday life, but could relax and recharge. And this is very necessary in order to make everyday life easier for families. In January, they called us on the first day of work to ask if there would be a holiday this year as well. So we are very happy about the opportunity, since hundreds of families will not miss the experience this year either".
