In the commemoration in Trianon, the Romanian Minister of Culture raved about the Romanians who fought heroically in the Great War and about drawing borders that correspond to ethnic reality.

While the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, politicians in Bucharest, and most of the press constantly accuse Hungary of revisionist aspirations,

until then, Romania's Minister of Culture commemorated the Trianon decision with a map of Greater Romania, including the Republic of Moldova,

and in the parliament, an opposition senator recently submitted a draft law on the annexation of Ukrainian territories, Magyar Nemzet reports.

Minister Lucian Romascanu remembered the event 103 years ago Facebook post

"Today we celebrate one of the most important days in the history of Romania, the day when, with the treaty signed in the Great Trianon Palace in Versailles

the Romanians achieved international recognition of their borders, for which they heroically fought in the Great War.

For the first time, Greater Romania united the majority of Romanians within the borders of the same state, and thanks also go to the French geographer Emmanuel de Martonne, who helped draw the new borders in accordance with the ethnic reality," the Transylvanian portal Maszol quoted the post of the head of the Ministry of Culture on June 4. , which was illustrated by the social democrat Romascanu with a map of Romania supplemented with today's Republic of Moldova.

In March, opposition senator Diana Sosoaca openly demanded the annexation of the territories of Ukraine that once belonged to Romania by Romania. For this purpose, the senator submitted a draft law in the parliament, which would cancel the 1997 Romanian-Ukrainian good neighborly and cooperation agreement. In one of the articles of the draft, it is written: "Romania annexes the historical territories belonging to it, namely North Bukovina, Herta, Bugeac, the Ukrainian part of the historical Maramaros and the Snake Island".

Sosoaca argued in support of his legislative initiative that

"this is how I want to restore the cultural identity, traditions, customs and religion of the estimated one million Romanian community".

In his interview with EurAsia Daily the other day, the politician repeated that "Ukraine illegally owns territories." The senator who won a seat on the list of the Association for the Unification of Romanians and currently leads the SOS party said: Ukraine must "get out of the logic of war and sit down at the negotiating table." As he put it: "Ukraine's problem is that it owns territories that are not its own" and "it should give up territories owned by other nations."
